Example of content gate…
Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, “Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..”, comes from a line in section 1.10.32.
The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since 1966 is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from “de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum” by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

Use cases
Key features
What the element does, in plain terms. Every individual control is listed in the settings reference below.
Targeting
Wrap mode
The recommended mode. The gate wraps child builder content, so the overlay size always matches the wrapped region.
Selector mode
A CSS selector targets an existing element elsewhere on the page, and a ResizeObserver keeps the overlay aligned through resizes and image loads.
Reveal
Avada Form integration
Pick a form from the site. The reveal triggers on that formโs client-side success event, scoped to the embedded instance.
Remember reveal
Session storage, a persistent cookie for a set number of days, or off. The setting is applied early so returning visitors do not see an overlay flash.
Reduced-motion-aware reveal
The overlay is removed instantly when prefers-reduced-motion is set.
Presentation
Overlay design
Background colour, blur, heading, description text, typography, padding, maximum form width, and z-index.
Optional inspect deterrent
A minor context menu block that follows the same honest philosophy as Content Protection.
Settings reference
Every setting the element exposes, grouped by builder tab. Options are listed where the setting offers a fixed set of choices.
Targeting General tab
Mode
Wrap ยท Selector
Wrap places the gated content inside the element, which keeps the overlay perfectly aligned. Selector points at an existing element by CSS selector, which suits content you cannot move.
CSS selector
The target for selector mode, for example an ID on an existing section.
Form and reveal General tab
Avada Form
Which form must be submitted. If no form is selected, visitors see no overlay and editors see a warning.
Remember reveal
Session ยท Cookie for N days ยท Off
How long a successful reveal is remembered for that visitor.
Cookie duration
Days
How many days the persistent cookie lasts when the cookie option is selected.
Overlay design Design tab
Heading
Dynamic Data
The headline shown on the overlay, which should state what the visitor gets.
Description
Dynamic Data
Supporting copy under the heading.
Background colour
Colour of the overlay panel over the hidden content.
Blur
How strongly the content beneath is blurred, which hints at what is behind the gate.
Typography
Font controls for the heading and description.
Overlay padding
Space between the overlay edge and its content.
Maximum form width
Caps the form width so fields do not stretch across a wide section.
Z-index
Stacking order, for pages where other fixed elements overlap the gated region.
Inspect deterrent
On ยท Off
A minor context menu block on the gated region. It is a deterrent, not protection.
Margin
Per breakpoint
Outer spacing around the element, set separately for large, medium, and small screens and scoped to this element instance.
Padding
Per breakpoint
Inner spacing between the element container edge and its content, also set per breakpoint.
Extras Extras tab
Conditional Rendering
Avada logic conditions
Shows or hides the element based on logged-in state, user role, and the other conditions Avada’s logic system offers.
